CUTTY SARK, 2020
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Size: 80 H x 100 W x 4cms
Finished edges.

One of the World's most famous ships - she was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastest, coming at the end of a long period of design development, which halted as sailing ships gave way to steam propulsion.

Here the Cutty Sark is depicted near her final resting place at Greenwich near the Old Royal Naval College.

The water nearer the Thames estuary is affected noticeably more by the tide and wind - creating a greater ebb and flow.
